I always try to have some sort of treat to look forward to - it lifts me when the going gets tough. Enjoy your break. I love Melbourne....Sue E.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852467864520602257.post-84574823763001562922011-06-28T22:56:15.980+10:002011-06-28T22:56:15.980+10:00As to what Esther said, Phill and I have both had ...As to what Esther said, Phill and I have both had colds that took longer than expected to get over, and seemed to get better and then get worse. That would definitely take it's toll.

The trip to Melbourne will hopefully brighten both of you up a bit, and good to spend some quality time together. I see your bond with Oli and it's quite obvious to me that it is tight and special. You fit in what you can, when you can and make it special and fun, that is the best you can do.

I hope both of you have a wonderful time and create more special memories

Love Laura xoxo

P.S I think taking oli top the G.P is a great idea, he seems like a really nice and supportive doctor.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852467864520602257.post-17121990376016035462011-06-28T17:04:25.808+10:002011-06-28T17:04:25.808+10:00I have to agree with Ange, if you don't take c...I have to agree with Ange, if you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of Oli. A trip away might be just be what you both need a change of scenery is often a good way to lift your spirits (or at least I find it does)

I thought I should tell you that art is supposed to be great for kids Oli's age for expressing things they don't yet have the words for (my sister Rachael did her Psyc Masters on it) so keep up with the Lego, drawing whatever he is interested in and let him talk about what he creating, it may help you both.

But I thought I might just let you know that the flu this year is taking forever to get over - it took me nearly 2 months, we have people at work that are taking longer. So it may be partly at least him taking time to recover..

Enjoy your time away with him, have fun and try to relax -

EstherxxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7852467864520602257.post-18641125304351992982011-06-28T09:28:54.210+10:002011-06-28T09:28:54.210+10:00Hey Mel, for what it's worth, I think you are ...Hey Mel, for what it's worth, I think you are doing all the right things for Oli. Your trip to Melb might be just what he needs. Don't feel guilty doing things that are good for you and your mental health because without these things you may not cope and not be good for Oli anyway. Looking after yourself IS looking after your family! It's not right that a young child has to have these experiences but with a caring mum and dad to be there for him, he's in the best place to deal with things. I'm no expert, but keep up the good work Mel. AngexxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
